Liquid Sclerotherapy Vein Treatments

Sclerotherapy is an art that is very dependent on technique. Dr. Goldstein has perfected the art of sclerotherapy and has treated thousands of patients successfully.

Sclerotherapy is the "gold standard" for treating leg veins, hand veins, facial veins and small veins on the rest of the body. Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive technique used primarily in the treatment of large veins (varicose veins), medium veins (reticular veins), and small veins (spider veins).

Sclerotherapy involves injecting a solution into the vein using a tiny needle. The solution injures the inside of the varicose vein causing it to scar and then close, or collapse. This keeps blood from flowing through the treated vein and allows it to automatically flow through healthy veins. These treated, or sclerosed veins, are then absorbed naturally by the body's own immune system. The majority of patients need 3-5 injection sessions spaced 6 weeks apart.
